You either hate or you don't...care or don't...love or don't. But our reality, Our reality is a place where nobody really gives in to anything entirely. A world where barely anybody has complete faith in anything...anyone. A place where they first look for what they'll get back before giving. A reality where it is safest to sit on the fence of everything. Everything, justice included. They don't want to piss off the ones who run things now!
But then we have those who are not made to "do just a little". They have to learn. Learn how to "care just a little". "Love just a little". "Live just a little". "Laugh just a little". "Give just a little". . "Play just a little". "Goof just a little". Withhold the rest
And just like a sociopath, learn how to be a "normal" person in the current definition of normal. Fake it until until they "make" it. Until they look convincing. Become, in part, something that even they, despise.
But it's safer, because if they don't pretend, the world will take, take, and take some more. Take until it sucks the living soul out of them. Take all they have to their name even when they're dead and gone.
But what if you're not made like that? An actor! What if you are the deep-diver or no dive at all? What if you prefer to fully immerse yourself in that which you want to? What if you prefer clear lines instead of blurry ones? I understand, humanity is complex. I also understand that humanity craves a completely safe place. Most of humanity at least.
Then you have to live life like a dancer trying to dance off-beat. D.I.F.F.I.C.U.L.T is the word for it. It is difficult.
