I was once young, but now I am old(er). The best advice I have for myself and others is, Don't settle for less than anything but true love. Identify it and cling to it if you find it! When you listen to music (especially some of Michael Jackson's love songs!), you learn about the feelings of true love...below, you will see how it can be shown. I found the writings of Ravenwolf on Facebook and share some of them because many desire to love and be loved...in our search for love, we should be on a quest to find our true love- our soul mate- the one created by God to literally fulfill our lives, making us upright and complete. jacki
"Where has the romance gone?
Has the valiant pursuit of courting a woman gone by the wayside?
Have men forgotten how to treat a lady?
While I know that this doesn’t apply to all men, so take heed, those who may be in need of a refresher.
Chivalry may not be lost, but gentlemen, here are some ideas about how to truly romance a lady.
Catch her eye with your style and charm,
But engage her mind to further the conversation.
Don’t try to impress her with fancy gadgets and try to buy her affection.
Any good woman will be more attracted to your character and manners than to any amount of superficiality.
Sure, the big things matter...but the details do, too:
-Plan the date, but find out what she likes, first..
Listen, listen, listen.
-No lady wants to hear a monologue about your life.
-Dates and relationships are conversations, not speeches.
-Be interested: who she is, wants she wants and her dreams.
-Share your thoughts, hopes and desires-don’t be afraid to be real and vulnerable- any woman worth having will love those ideals.
If you want to speak to her heart, start with her head.
-Treat her with respect.
-Fulfill your promises.
-Be honest, authentic and willing to try to understand her.
The little things also matter, just as much.
-surprise love notes
-take her to her favorite cafe
-open her door, take her coat, pull out her chair.
-hold her hand and flirt with her.
Oh, and women love it if you play with their hair..in any fashion.
Engage her mind, emblazon her heart and set her passions on fire.
Be a man of quality if you seek a lady of dignity...and that’s a two way street.
My fellow men, let’s resurrect the traditions of generations past.
Let’s court our ladies, win their hearts and make them feel special.
If you want just anyone, keep doing what you’re doing.
If you want a once in a lifetime lady, then do whatever it takes,
But do it all...like a gentleman."
