I'm a dreamer and I've been recording my dreams since around 2006. In late 2018, I found myself with a renewed interest in Michael Jackson. Just for fun, I decided to see I had ever dreamed anything about him. I checked and I hadn't. I then felt prompted to search for Neverland, to see if I'd had any dreams about that, since everyone knows Michael Jackson lived at Neverland Ranch. To my surprise, I found, not a dream, but a thought that I had recorded while journaling:
"On May 30, 2012, I was remembering the scene in the Peter Pan movie "Hook" when Robin Williams returns to Neverland. The children did not recognize him because he had grown up.
It wasn't just the children who didn't believe he was Peter Pan...Peter didn't believe either. In his attempt to grow up, he had forgotten who he was."
The whole point of it, Peter finally remembered who he was...
When I considered what I had written back in 2012, I wondered if there was anything else I was meant to see...
Then it hit me- Peter Pan was in Neverland for a very important reason! He was there to help lost boys and keep them safe from Captain Hook! Michael Jackson often said that he created Neverland Ranch for himself, but also for "the children". I hope you will take time to find out more about how he entertained children at Neverland- hundreds and thousands of them...the sick and the underprivileged. I don't believe a lot of people know about that.
There is something else about Neverland Ranch that with all my seeking during the last year and a half, I've never heard anyone else mention or take note of...It is very possible that the idea for Neverland Ranch was in Michael's heart from the time when he was just a little boy. You can see it in the Season 1, Episode 1 Jackson 5 cartoon- his dream of having a ranch with teepees and all! Years later, he'd record a short film with Paul McCartney on the property that would become Neverland Ranch. I believe there's a lot meaning in that song and video- "Say, Say, Say"...
It seems Michael Jackson wanted to make his dreams and the dreams of others come true! Too Bad others are not that kind...
So, maybe we can't fly off to Neverland with Peter Pan and we can't visit Michael Jackson at Neverland Ranch today, but we can make a choice to always remain child-like. There's a singer or a band of singers who expressed it better than I can, "With a child's heart go face the worries of the day. With a child's heart turn each problem into play. No need to worry, no need to fear.
Don't forget to Dream, Don't grow up too much and forget who you are, Don't let others bring you down, and Don't EVER forget to have a little or a lot of innocent fun.
