Always hoping, never knowing, always believing.
She was a complex girl with a simple wish.
True love, for a lifetime, evermore.
She endured more times of heartache and heartbreak
Than she ever cared to reminisce about.
She never stopped believing that at the end
Of her struggles was the love she dreamt of.
She read the stories and cried through the movies,
As others all around her fell in love,
So effortlessly it seemed at times,
She tried not to despair and lose hope,
Because she always knew her time would come.
She knew that it was easy to stop hoping
When the path to love always dead ended
in heartbreak.
She overcame the disappointment, the hurt and the sadness
Of men she thought could be “the one”
With the beautiful light she had in her soul.
It was never a matter of how, when or who,
Because she knew her story was written long ago in the stars,
Love was more than her hope and dream,
It was her lifelong destiny.
She didn’t need any man, but she did want her soulmate.
So, when she saw a man unlike any other,
Her heart leapt and her soul smiled,
For somehow, in some way, she just knew.
That this was somehow different and special-
He was the one meant for her for always.
When the moment came, heart to heart,
It became very clear as his soul whispered to her,
That what’s meant to be will always find a way.
After all the broken roads and painful tears,
Her heart sighed and she smiled because she knew:
