When I say that I love you,
I’m trying to say so much more than those three little words convey.
I’m trying to tell you how very special you are to me, how you mean more than anything else.
I’m trying to express how deeply I care for you and how much I love the times we share.
I’m trying to share how much I trust you, need you and know that I’ll always be there for you.
I’m trying to relate how much I depend on you and wouldn’t want to face life without you.
There aren’t words that can truly define the way I feel about you, but I hope you can tell-
In the way I look at you with complete adoration,
In the way I will always put your needs first,
And how very much I look forward to coming home to your arms.
In the way I think of you when you’re not beside me,
with a love note, a text or a passing thought..
You can’t cross my mind because you never leave it.
So, each time that I take your face in my hands and smile,
Saying those three words that encompass so much more,
Know that “I love you “ is my daily proclamation of how grateful I am for you, how much I appreciate all that you do for us,
And how I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life loving you.
